Anxious Bench - The Pestilence That Walks in Darkness

If we do pray from protection from plague or war or disaster, do we think we are really making a difference to the outcome of the crisis in question? If we pray Psalm 91 – or any form of words – do we think it makes a difference, against war, or terrorism, or coronavirus? If we don’t think so, why do we do it? What do we actually believe about the nature and function of prayer?

That's a good question to ask in this time.
