More than 50 percent of Protestant pastors said they do in a recent LifeWay Research surveyon climate change. It’s the first time that a majority of Protestant pastors have agreed with the statement, according to LifeWay Research. In 2010, that number dropped as low as 36 percent.
This is a good step in the right direction, but more steps definitely can be taken.
"We see these natural tragedies, which are the Earth's response to our maltreatment," Francis said. "I think that if I ask the Lord now what he thinks about this, I don't think he would say it is a very good thing. It is we who have ruined the work of God."
